Hi there! I’m Lauren and I’m a freelance writer specializing in travel, events and cultural happenings in New York’s Hudson Valley and beyond. Since obtaining a B.A. in Journalism and Digital Media Production, I’ve reported on everything from state policy in New York to LGBTQIA+ rights, to the personal lives of TikTok stars, and world and regional travel.

Currently, I write for the Hudson Valley branch of one of upstate New York’s foremost publications, Times Union; penning a weekly events column spanning six counties across the state, and contributing regional travel guides, business profiles and features with a focus in sustainability and culture.

I also continue to build my travel writing portfolio as a daily blog writer and editorial assistant for renowned LGBTQIA+ travel and lifestyle publication, Passport Magazine.

Over the past five years, I’ve visited over 15 countries, and I always arrive home hoping to put words to the incredible — and occasionally daunting — experiences I’ve had.
